Cosmetic TattoO
Terms & Conditions
Your safety, comfort and satisfaction are important to us. Please familiarise yourself with the following terms and conditions before your appointment. These policies are designed to support safe treatment, establish realistic expectations and ensure a positive experience for both clients and practitioners.
Professional Qualifications & Safety
Laura Craddock is a Registered Nurse (AHPRA Registration: NMW0002311014) and qualified Cosmetic Tattoo Technician.
All cosmetic tattooing procedures are performed with an emphasis on professional standards, infection prevention, client safety and individualised treatment planning.
Cosmetic tattooing involves implanting pigment into the skin. Although every effort is made to achieve safe, aesthetically pleasing results, individual skin characteristics and healing responses mean that outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
Risks, Limitations & Treatment Expectations
Before proceeding with cosmetic tattooing, please consider the following:
Additional appointments: Cosmetic eyebrow tattooing generally involves two initial treatment sessions. Occasionally, further appointments may be required to achieve the desired result. Additional sessions outside the initial two appointments will incur a separate fee.
Pigment retention: The amount of pigment retained by the skin varies between individuals and cannot be guaranteed. Skin type, healing response, lifestyle and aftercare may all influence the final result.
Shape and symmetry: Every effort will be made to accommodate your aesthetic preferences while maintaining realistic expectations. Perfect facial symmetry is not achievable, and attempting to create perfectly symmetrical eyebrows may accentuate existing facial asymmetries.
Infection and scarring: As cosmetic tattooing involves penetrating the skin, there is a risk of infection, scarring and other complications. Appropriate infection control procedures are followed to minimise these risks.
Pigment colour: The final healed colour cannot be predicted with absolute certainty. Individual skin characteristics, undertones and healing responses may influence how pigment appears once healed.
Fading and colour changes: Cosmetic tattoos gradually fade over time, although some pigment may remain indefinitely. Pigment may also change in tone, occasionally developing a cooler or ashier appearance. In many cases, this can be addressed with a colour correction or colour boost treatment. Please refer to our Services page for current pricing.
Maintenance appointments: Colour boost treatments may be required approximately every 1–3 years, depending on individual pigment retention, skin characteristics and lifestyle.
Aftercare responsibilities: Following the recommended aftercare instructions and seeking advice promptly if concerns arise can help reduce the likelihood of complications and support optimal healing.
Additional Risks to Consider
Although uncommon, cosmetic tattooing may also result in:
Allergic or inflammatory reactions to pigments or topical products.
Temporary swelling, bruising, tenderness or prolonged redness.
Uneven pigment retention, patchiness or unexpected colour changes.
Unwanted pigment migration or changes in the appearance of fine details.
Persistent pigmentation or difficulty removing or correcting an unwanted cosmetic tattoo.
Correction or removal of cosmetic tattoo pigment may require additional procedures, may not achieve complete clearance and can involve further expense.
These risks will be discussed as part of your individual consultation and consent process.
Medical Suitability & Informed Consent
A consultation and assessment are required to determine your suitability for cosmetic tattooing.
You must disclose any relevant medical conditions, medications, allergies, previous cosmetic procedures or history of unusual skin healing before treatment.
Particular consideration may be required for clients who:
Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Have active skin infections, inflammation or irritation in the treatment area.
Have a history of keloid or hypertrophic scarring.
Have diabetes, immune-related conditions or impaired wound healing.
Take anticoagulant or antiplatelet medications, or medications that may affect skin healing.
Have a history of allergic reactions to pigments, tattoo products or topical anaesthetics.
Have previously undergone cosmetic tattooing, laser treatment or other procedures in the intended treatment area.
These factors do not necessarily prevent treatment, but further assessment, medical advice or postponement may be required.
Treatment will only proceed where it is considered appropriate and informed consent has been obtained.
We reserve the right to decline or postpone treatment where safety, medical suitability or achievable outcomes are of concern.
Preparing for Your Cosmetic Tattoo Appointment
To support a safe procedure and optimal healing, please follow these pre-appointment recommendations.
Recent cosmetic treatments: If you have recently undergone cosmetic injectable treatment, facial surgery, laser procedures or other treatments in the intended tattoo area, please consult your treating practitioner regarding an appropriate interval before cosmetic tattooing. Your practitioner is welcome to contact us if further information is required.
Hydration: Maintain adequate hydration and your usual healthy skincare routine before your appointment to support normal skin health and recovery.
Caffeine, alcohol and medications: Avoid alcohol and, where practical, caffeine for 24 hours before your appointment, as these may contribute to increased sensitivity or bleeding. Please advise us if you take anticoagulant or antiplatelet medications, aspirin, ibuprofen or other medications that may affect bleeding. Do not discontinue prescribed medication without approval from your treating medical practitioner.
Skin preparation: Wherever possible, attend your appointment with a clean face, free from makeup or skincare products in the treatment area.
Skin condition: Please notify us before your appointment if you develop a rash, infection, sunburn, broken skin or other irritation in the treatment area. Your appointment may need to be rescheduled.
Previous cosmetic tattoos: If you have existing cosmetic tattoo pigment, please disclose this before booking. Previous tattooing may affect the suitability, technique and expected outcome of further treatment.
Cosmetic Tattoo Aftercare
Appropriate aftercare is an essential part of the cosmetic tattoo healing process.
Following your procedure, you will receive instructions on cleansing, recommended aftercare products, activities to avoid and what to expect during each stage of healing.
Please review our complete Cosmetic Tattoo Aftercare Guide before your appointment.
If you experience unexpected symptoms, prolonged irritation or concerns about healing, please contact us promptly. Increasing pain, spreading redness, discharge or fever requires prompt medical assessment.
Bookings, Deposits & Rescheduling Policy
We understand that circumstances can change and will always endeavour to accommodate reasonable appointment changes.
Rescheduling: A minimum of 72 hours' notice is required to reschedule an appointment.
Requests received with less than 72 hours' notice may result in forfeiture of your booking deposit, where permitted by law. Any deposit retained will be reasonable and proportionate to the circumstances, including costs or losses associated with the late change.
All rescheduling requests are subject to appointment availability.
Late arrivals and missed appointments: Clients who fail to attend a scheduled appointment or arrive too late for treatment to be completed safely may be required to reschedule. The deposit policy may apply.
Repeated rescheduling: At the discretion of the business, future bookings may be declined where a client repeatedly reschedules appointments or fails to attend without adequate notice.
Illness or unexpected circumstances: We encourage clients to contact us as early as possible if illness, medical concerns or unforeseen circumstances prevent attendance. Reasonable requests will be considered individually.
Deposits and refunds: Booking deposits are subject to the conditions communicated at the time of booking and applicable Australian Consumer Law. Where the business cancels an appointment or is unable to provide the agreed service, appropriate rescheduling or refund arrangements will be offered in accordance with your legal rights.
